Cool song, Xaviera!
Nicely done. The overall carefree spirit & mood captures the point in the lyric. Your vocals are standout here; good lead and backgrounds. What makes "Just Ride" further appealing are the catchy, singable melodies, particularly in the chorus; lots of lifts to keep the energy up. The music also keeps the momentum going; a complimentary fit.

Still Shining embodies a very unique rhythmitic soulful vibe that embraces a unique R&B sound.  Each song is cleverly arranged and the lyrics show that there is still hope for R&B without having to include strong sexual content.  India Arie comes to mind while listening to "Love" and a little of Cheryl Pepsi Riley is introduced in the "My Child" song!

 "Lovesick Blues" stories one's personal experiences w/ having love & lost. Simple acoustic guitar magnifies the lyrics.

"Still Shining" details personal perseverance through some of the worst times in life, while still being optimistic.

"Just Ride" is a track that you bump in the car with the windows down. Great weekend song to just let loose to.

"Without You" is a feel-good track that stories the initial trepidation of entering a relationship but ending in love.

"My Child" is in the same vein as Lauryn Hill's "Zion" & Usher's "A Prayer For You" as a dedication to her child. Dope.   

"Love" is a chart-topping ballad that will take u there.

"Emotional High" is my favorite track on the CD.  

Very addicting ... love to plug this one in the car cd and drive!
There's nothing better than listening to good music, singing along, and completely relating to the lyrics. This CD rocks. So don't just sit there... buy yourself a copy and drive.

Xaviera's Still Shining album is a testament that following your dreams will pay off. I have already listened to the album twice already, and am on my third take! I can't wait to let my peoples here it. Thanks for giving me something that will stay in my CD player!

Truly inspirational songs, absolutley love it.

I listened the day I got the CD and didn't regret a second of it. It's a beautiful album, sung from the heart. I have no doubt that it'll get where it needs to be.

Xaviera took her music to the next level with this CD.....with real lyrics that touch everyone in some way, takes me back to how R&B USED to be. I love it, favorite tracks are "Still Shining" and "My Child".

This cd is a testiment to the old saying you get what you put in. Well Xaviera has put in a lot of hard work and sweat and it has paid off in more ways then one. I rarely listen to R&B in the car because I’m so into HipHop I always listen to it. Sometimes you need that unwinding of an R&B song. Until “Still Shining” I was only getting that from the classics. Now I get it from a soon to be classic new comer with a old school know how to write songs.

Xaviera's songs are a delightful new sound that you can listen to with anyone, including your kids. An awesome CD to pop in your car and "Just Ride" to!

I loved the instrumental beats. The vocal range of the artist is awesome. A true testimony of struggle and strength.

This is one of the best cd's that i've heard in a long time! It's been a while since i've heard a cd that you can put in and "Just Ride"!

I enjoyed the first CD, but this one has out done it by far! Well put together compilation of heart felt soulful beats. I was hooked by the third song, as they say in my old neighborhood: This CD is Da Bomb!

This young lady hails from Bridgeton, NJ, so shefeels like family already. She made her way to the “A” when she was nineteen in order to pursue her music career and we certainly think she made the right move. By now, you know what the tagline for this magazine is “The Best NEW Music You’ve Never Heard”, well we are confident you will soon hear more about Xaviera. Her intelligence, talent and looks make a formidable combination. Her debut CD Sunshine is like a ray of sunshine in the dark world of female R&B music. Good vocals, good production and god lyrics, all elements that are missing in today’s musical climate. Vocally, she reminds us of Monica, and with the right connections we’re sure she can go just as far.

This CD touches on the classic sounds of R&B artists such as Anita Baker and Stephanie Mills.  The raspiness in the tones and smooth lyrics leaves me wanting more.  The Gotta Get With You track makes you want to find that someone and just look at them with sparkles in your eyes and say, yep that's whats on my mind! 

Glad I purchased this one prior to my vacation. It definitely kept me calm and cool while dealing with unexpected flight delays during my vacation!

I'm a big "BEAT" person. I love and listen for the beat over the lyrics, so when I first played the album, my ears were positively audibly assaulted by the BUMPIN (yeah, I took it there) BUMPIN beat of the intro track, "Sunshine." I broke my neck and through my hand in the air and waved it 'round like I just didn't care Aaliyah "Back and Forth" style to the beat!! Broke my neck and shook my hips!! I loved it! I knew I was in for a treat with the rest of the album. But before I could proceed, I had to replay the intro over and over about 50 times because I HAD to learn the words so the next time, not only could I bob my head, but I wanted to be able to SANG along with the buttery vocals as well. My personal fave off the album is track 6, "You Got It." I'm LOVIN the beat, (naturally) but I also like the smoothness of the vocals. It's a laidback track that still makes me want to dance around a lil' bit. :-) I suggest to ANYONE who has a house to clean to pick up a copy of "Sunshine." It's that CD you'll ALWAYS want to enjoy while running that vacuum across your floor. I suggest to anyone with a car and a drive to work to pick up "Sunshine" because it's that CD you'll ALWAYS want to enjoy to get your mind off the stresses of the day to come or the day just completed. In short, COP DAT DISC!!!!!

In a industry full of R&B singers with studio enhanced vocals and no real talent, a ray of Sunshine is upon us with the debut album from Xaviera. A classic mixture of uptempo and soulful sounds makes this a album from start to finish a listening pleasure. From Crush, to Everyday, Xaviera weaves a story that makes love to your ears. If you're tired of the tired re-hashed samples of today's R&B you should COP THIS ALBUM!!!

Xaviera's Sunshine is a refreshing return to authentic R&B. I was able to relate to the lyrics and found myself singing along with the chorus. It's the type of CD you can put in the CD Player and let it play from beginning to end. It's been along time since I've come across such a strong CD. I think Xaviera has a long career ahead of her.

I love every single song on this CD...Not only could I understand what the songs were about I could relate....If you haven't brought the CD you need to go out and get it NOW! It's well worth your money!
